The Skatenigs were total rockstar dicks. I remember the stage at the fear show being very high up and the lights very bright. Lee Ving and Philo were cool and very approachable, did I mention that the Skatenigs were dicks and their music sucked?

I saw Iowa Beef Experience around 87 at a house party in Milwaukee. I was just a dumb high school kid who loved punk but didn’t exactly fit in the scene because I dressed like a regular hick.
The show was mindblowingly good, they played up in the attic I think and it was good and loud and wild. One of my highlights of the night was seeing Chris (if I remember correctly) getting into an argument with a nazi skinhead from my school (who basically everyone hated) and completely tore him a new one.
I’ve since played in many bands myself and seen countless bands and this night stands in my mind as one of the best ever.

Just a minor correction. Kidd Death wasn’t the band that had the dong squirting something out of it. That was the Skate Nigs. Kidd Death was the very first band, then the Skate Nigs, then Fear.

Man, I remember seeing Fischer at a basement show in Lincoln, Nebraska. The singer from Mousetrap was there and he looked all crazy and I thought “Whoa, cool.” These guys really rocked it.

That was the American Legion or something like that. I heard that show was great. I saw them at the Cog Factory on that tour.
